Working Principle

1. Thickening: As the screw shaft rotates, multiple fixed and moving rings around the shaft create relative motion. Under gravity, water quickly drains through the gaps between the rings, rapidly thickening the sludge.

2. Dewatering: The thickened sludge is pushed forward by the screw. As it moves toward the outlet, the screw pitch and ring gaps gradually decrease, reducing the chamber volume. Under the resistance of the back-pressure plate, internal pressure increases, squeezing water out and increasing the solid content of the sludge cake until continuous dewatering is achieved.

3. Self-Cleaning: The rotating screw drives the moving rings to continuously shift, automatically cleaning the gaps and preventing clogging — a common issue in traditional dewatering machines.
